Hey! Thanks for checkin' us out! Interested in how it all began? Read on! Freestyle Skatepark was first opened in October of 1996 by Kitty and Steve Bennett for their son, Mark, an inline skater. However, Mark was not the only reason for the park's birth. The Bennetts also saw the park as a great way to help the local skaters stay off the streets. Since it's a 100% family owned and operated business, they take a lot of pride in the park and what goes on inside. The place is clean, the atmosphere is always friendly, and the business is very professional. The park itself is one of the finest anywhere. The rugged, precise craftsmanship with which the park was built is outstanding. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into the construction of those ramps and obstacles, and still do. (Well, okay, maybe not that many tears). Not to mention that a lot of the design and construction was done by skaters. That is, of course, only with the approval and supervision of Mr. Bennett himself. The park couldn't have come to be without his excellent professional design and carpentry skills. To put it another way, if three things could survive a nuclear holocaust, they would be roaches, Tupperware, and Freestyle Skatepark! Naturally, a facility like this needs dedicated people to keep the gears turning smoothly. That's where daughter Amberly Bennett, and friends Dameon Rowe (who can tear it UP on a board!), and Suzie come in. When Kitty herself can't be at the park, you can bet that one or more of these three will be behind the counter. As park manager, the person you'll probably see the most is Amberly. She puts in many, many hours, so let her know you appreciate her! Well, that about wraps up the Freestyle Skatepark Story for now.
